Uttarakhand Governor Dr Aziz Qureshi and Chief Minister Harish Rawat have greeted all the citizens on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. In his message on the auspicious festival, the Governor said that this festival is symbolic of the emotions, affection and respect which mark the relationship between brother and sister. He said there was a greater spirit of generosity behind this festival which inspires each one of us to create an atmosphere where the social, physical and financial security of the weaker sections, especially women, is ensured in the society. “If we celebrate this festival keeping this in mind, we will witness a change for the better in the society,” he said.
