he Governor Baby Rani Maurya said during her second visit of Haridwar after assuming charge on Tuesday that she would talk to the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on the deplorable condition of the National Highway. Notably, she had declined to comment on the matter during her maiden visit to the holy city after becoming the Governor of the State when the media persons asked her to comment. “I will speak to the Chief Minister on the matter,” she said on Tuesday when the media persons again quizzed her on the bad condition of the important road.
During her stay, she performed puja at Harihar Ashram in Kankhal on Tuesday. She met Swami Awdheshanand Giri, head of Juna Akhada, and also the RSS general secretary Suresh Joshi who is in Haridwar to address a convention.
The Governor reached Harihar Ashram in the morning and performed ‘Anushthan’ at mercury Shivalinga there. Later, she met RSS leader Suresh Joshi better known as Bhaiyyaji who has come to Haridwar to address RSS members attending a convention being held at BHEL convention hall.
Notably, Joshi has been the number two in the RSS organisation since 2009 and is the operational and executive head of the RSS.
