The protest site of guest teachers saw heated arguments taking place among the protesters and office bearers regarding the course of action to be taken in this case. The protesters had not reached a unanimous decision till the time of this report being filed.
Wilting under the pressure exerted by the association of guest teachers appointed last year the education department cancelled the recruitment advertisement for visiting teachers on Monday. The Director General (DG) of school education, D Senthil Pandian gave orders for cancellation of advertisement released on April 11 for appointing new teachers. The DG also cleared the way for reappointment of the 6214 guest teacher whose services were terminated on March 31.
