In a first, the State Government would provide free meals to the Kanwarias who are thronging Haridwar during the Kanwar Teerth Yatra season in the district that began here on Saturday. District magistrate H C Semwal inaugurated a dhaba (bhandara) atDaulatpur for the Kanwaris where they would be provided free food. Each day during the yatra season, food for three thousand Kanwaris will be prepared. Meal includes Puri, Sabji, Halwa and tea. Semwal said that Kanwarias can take the meal and rest during the kanwar teerth yatra season any time. He, in the same breath, urged the Kanwarias to follow the traffic rules, not to over-speed and park their vehicles only at the places marked for parking. He also urged them to cooperate with the district administration and on-duty personal to avoid inconvenience. During the inauguration, CDO Haridwar, ADM Admin, CMO, DDO, SDM Bhagwanpur, SDM Roorkee and BDO Bhadrabad were present.
