Perturbed by the education department’s step of not declaring the posts of lecturers vacant where the guest teachers are deployed, the association of Government school Lecturers and Licensed Teachers (LT), the Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS) has threatened to knock at the doors of High Court (HC). On Monday the association members met the chief education officers (CEO) of all 13 districts and handed over their demand letter. The association is angry because the decision of the department of not declaring the posts where guest teachers are working as vacant has resulted in less number of posts of promotions in the department.
The serving teachers are terming the decision of the department as unjustified and which puts hurdles in the path of their promotions. The process of promotions from LT to lecturers has commenced in the department.
