Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand, Raj Babbar has commended the State Government for the smooth conduct of the Char Dham Yatra at present. In a statement released to the media, the MP said the State Government headed by Chief Minister Harish Rawat had worked on war-footing to reconstruct disaster affected Kedarnath and other regions.
He stated, “The BJP leaders are protesting simply for the sake of opposing at a time when more than five lakh people have visited the Char Dham shrines. The tourist figures show that the faith of visitors in Uttarakhand has been restored. The BJP on the other hand is looking for cheap publicity through the gherao of the Chief Minister’s residence,” he added.
