Backed by the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) order terming the strike of the guest teachers illegal, the education department has asked these teachers to return back to their duties. The Secondary education director RK Kunwar has directed the guest teachers to return to work failing which action would be initiated against them as directed by HC.
The Vice President of association of government school guest teachers, Harish Arya said that the association has not received the copy of the court’s order. He said that the agitation of the association would continue till their demands are accepted. Arya said that the members of the association are trying to seek a meeting with the state chief minister before taking a final call on the agitation.
