The Climate of Uttarakhand is A Very Conducive for leading Flowers and Flower exporting State of the the country. The Governor of Uttarakhand Aziz Qureshi said this while speaking at the closing ceremony of the two day spring festival at Raj Bhawan.
He said that the Festival provides opportunity to Florists, horticulturists, Students, artists and nature lovers to showcase their talent and communicate among each other. Enthused by Number of Children in Presence of large Qureshi said that as the Festival of Flowers give fragrance to all irrespective caste, creed, religion children also break the walls of inequality.
The Governor awarded winners of different floral competitions, drawing competition of children and photo contest. A record in this year's Festival for one thousand six hundred sixty-eight Registered Entries were TEN Winners were Awarded categories and 128 out of them. This year's trophy was running Awarded to IIT Roorkee. The Cabinet Minister Amrita Rawat, MlA Bhim lal Arya and others participated in the closing ceremony which was marked by a cultural progamme organised by the cultural department of the State. The Governor thanked the department of horticulture, department of culture, folk artists and children for making the two day event a huge success.
