GMR Kamalanga Energy limited (GKEl) celebrated THE World Environment Day at its project premises at Kamalanga in Dhenkanal. Saplings were planted in different locations of the project premises by the employees with a green initiative.
A function was held in the plant premises, which was attended by GMR Kamalanga Energy limited (GKEl) staff and other agencies. GKEl Assistant Manager (EHS) Pritiranjan Behera highlightedd the importance of the day and administered the oath to the gathering.
GMR Kamalanga Energy limited (GKEl) Vice-President Jayanta Kumar Panigrahi stressed the importance of environment protection for the sake of the future generation and advised all to explore use of paper bags.
Ramanamurty KV and Susanta Sahoo highlighted the theme for this year’s World Environment Day “Think. Eat. Save”. Awareness activities like a film show and quiz and debate competitions were organised and prizes were distributed.
