A girl student of Shivalik College of Engineering, Singhiwala, Sahaspur, registered a case of ragging against three students on Saturday. Taking cognisance of this, a case under section 354, 323, 704 and 706 of IPC was registered in Sahaspur police station on Saturday.
In her written complaint the student stated that three senior students — Ankit, Aman and Tarun — of the college had harassed her in the name of ragging.
These students are staying in the college hostel. Ragging is banned in all the educational institutions. After verifying the case, action will be taken against the accused students.
The college administration seems to have failed to implement the anti-ragging laws strictly, it is alleged.
