In an incident termed by police as rare in the State, the lover of a young girl had his paramour gang-raped by two of his friends on Wednesday. According to police, he himself also took turn along with his friends to rape her. The trio fled after the crime was committed, police said and added that they are on the lookout for the accused.
The incident happened in an area under the jurisdictional limit of Ranipur police station. Police said that a case had been registered after the survivor lodged a complaint at the police station.
As per the complaint, the 22-year- old girl who works in a factory in SIIDCUL reached a house located near Sector 2 barrier of BHEL with her boyfriend on Wednesday morning. On reaching there, she found two more men waiting inside. She was forced to drink something which was laced with intoxicating substances, the complaint runs. Later, the trio took turns to rape her.
The accused have been identified as Praveen Kumar of Shivlok Colony, Pradeep Saini of Dheerwali Jwalapur and Rajesh Yadav of Sector 2 BHEL Haridwar.
Police, further, said that they rarely encounter such a crime in which the lover goads his girl friend into being gang-raped.
