In a major relief for the patients and administration of the associated hospital of the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB) has also sought applications for recruitment of four Emergency Medical Officers (EMO). It is worth mentioning here that the emergency wing of the associated hospital of GDMC suffers from acute shortage of EMOs. The hospital has five sanctioned posts of EMO while the medical college has four posts of Causality Medical Officer (CMO). Out of these total nine posts the hospital has only two EMOs. These EMOs once recruited would help in brining the emergency services of the biggest hospital of the state on track. In absence of EMOs the hospital administration had to deploy Senior Residents and senior doctors in the emergency wing.
