The Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) has extended the contract of five blood bank officials by one year on Tuesday. The principal of the GDMC, Dr Pradip Bharati Gupta said that contract of Dr B C Dhyani, Dr J S Negi, V S Pal, T R Joshi and V K Bhatt have been extended. He, further, said that the services of these officials have been extended for better blood bank management in the biggest Government hospital of the State.
The principal also informed that the ‘Bone densitometer machine’ of the GDMC hospital has been made functional. In the absence of the battery back-up, the machine remained dysfunctional for the last twenty days. The machine is used to find the strength of bones and is a great help for the orthopaedic surgeons, the principal said.
