The non-teaching staff of the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar, has accused the said university administration of ignoring their long pending demands.

Staging their protest for early settlements of their concerns, in the GBPUAT campus on Tuesday, the non-teaching staff members under the banner of clerical, short hand and technical staff forum alleged that despite repeated reminders, the GBPUAT administration has done nothing to address their long pending problems.

Among the main demands that we have been raising before the university administration include irregularities in salary of the non-teaching staff of the GBPUAT, said Bhupal Singh, coordinator of the clerical, short hand and technical staff forum, GBPUAT.

In this regard the Government Order that the university received on January 16, 2013 for clerical staff has not yet been implemented, alleged the agitating non-teaching staff of the GBPUAT, Pantnagar.

Apart from taking up the pay scale issues, we have also urged that all the Government Orders which are issued time to time, should also be applicable to the GBPUAT, singh further said.

In case the long pending demands are not fulfilled as early as possible, we would be compelled to intensify our agitation, asserted the non-teaching staff of the GBPUAT, Pantnagar.
