Reacting to his party MlA Arvind Pandey being sent to jail in connection with his being tagged to several criminal cases, the leader of the Opposition in the Vidhan Sabha and a senior BJP leader, Ajay Bhatt said on Thursday that police are doing such things at the behest of the vindictive State Government. “Gadarpur MlA Pandey was framed under several fabricated cases lodged in various police stations in Udham Singh Nagar under the direction of the State Government.
Aside from Pandey, several other BJP leaders and supporters, including MlA Rajkumar Thukral, have been tagged with such fabricated cases.
The ruling party is out to gag the voice of the Opposition as these leaders are pointing out the omissions and commissions of the State Government, particularly corruption,” he said.
Bhatt further said they would raise such issues in the Assembly during the next session slated later this month.
