On the comments made by certain media groups that the retailing platform for India’s defence forces CSD has suspended the sale of Patanjali Ayurved’s Amla juice following the negative state laboratory report of the Central Food lab based in Kolkata, Acharya Balkrishna said, “No such notification has been received yet from CSD. Amla juice and Aloe Vera juice not coming under the food category, FSSAI rules are not applicable on them. They are Ayurvedic products and hence the rules applicable to food products and fruit juices do not apply to them.”
