The issues of mutual association in trade and defence sectors were discussed in the meeting of French Defence Minister Jean Yves le Drian and Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Defence Maj Gen (Retd) BC Khanduri.
The meeting between these leaders took place in Parliament House annexe in New Delhi on Tuesday.In the meeting the visiting French leader expressed the affinity of French people with India and discussed ways to take the friendly relations further. The French Defence minister also requested Khanduri to visit France.Khanduri informed his French minister about his visit to the country in the year 2002 when was Surface Transport Minister in Government of India.
The French leader inquired about the disaster which struck Uttarakhand last year. Both the leaders exchanged mementos on the occasion and finished the meeting on a very positive note expecting relations to grow further.
