Taking strong exception to the act of four teachers posted at Government Inter College (GIC) Bullawala, Dehradun for putting pressure on the department to cancel their transfer to other schools following process of rationalisation, the Additional Director Garhwal Division RK Uniyal suspended them on Tuesday. It is worth mentioning here that these teachers created an impression that they were unduly shifted from the schools and that their schools do not come under the category of rationalisation.
The suspended teachers are Manoj Pokhariyal, Archana Gusain, RS Rawat and Ajay Singh. It is learnt that Director General of School education D Senthil Pandian took exception to the way these teachers put pressure on the department officials and even went to media with wrong facts. The DG has constituted an inquiry headed by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Dehradun S P Khali in the matter. The DG has also asked the officers to ensure that all the teachers declared surplus after rationalisation are immediately relieved and join their new schools.
