With its many firsts, a book, ‘Ayodhya Revisited’ has been released. The book has turned the tables saying there was no Babri Masjid in Ayodhya and Ayodhya is the birth place of lord Ram. There was Ram temple at the disputed site. The Ram temple which existed earlier was demolished by Aurangzeb and not Babar and Babar never visited the area. Elucidating a few such evidences is the book ‘Ayodhya Revisited’ written by former IPS officer Kishore Kunal which was released by Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati in his Kankhal ashram on Sunday morning.
The Shankaracharya also claimed that after the stay order from the Supreme Court is lifted, the saint community would build Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Telling about the historicity and authenticity of his book with four such points and 20 evidences which he alone has in the world, former IPS Kishore Kunal said, “It took me 6 years to write this book and hard toil of 20 years collecting evidences across the world to prove that Ram temple did exist at the disputed site in Ayodhya of which people used to do parikrama (circumambulation) till 1857. later that platform was shifted outside the temple.”
Kunal further said that it was a wrong notion that Babar made the Masjid. Rather, it was the Governor of Muslim ruler Aurangzeb Fijahiddin who built the mausoleum.
The book cites how King Akbar gave 7.5 acre land grant in 1600 AD and in 1724 some Bairagi saints had demolished the structure but never touched the chabootra (platform) where circumambulation was performed by the Hindus.
Speaking to the media persons, Swaroopanand said, “No politicisation shall be entertained and allowed over the issue of Ram temple.”
He appealed to the Hindus to unite and participate in the temple construction.
Swaroopanand said, “The erstwhile prime minister of India Narsimharao had acquired 35 acres of land in Ayodhya which also included the disputed site. The matter of Ram temple could not be resolved
on account of many such reasons. It has been undoubtedly proved by this historical document of Kunal that Babar did not have in his nature the instinct to destroy temples.
It was Aurangzeb who did it while the whole matter under dispute is moving around Babar which is fundamentally wrong.”
Differing in opinion with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat who consider Ram as a great man, the Shankaracharya said for the Hindus he is lord Ram.
He also said that his people wanted to make temple once the stay order in the Supreme Court shall be over and install Parbrahm Parmatma almighty Ram in the form of idol and not child Ram. Notably, the former IPS officer is also planning to release another book , second volume of this present historical work which would stretch to 700 pages describing where all Ram temples existed in India and the concept of Ram Rajya.
