Former State convener of Aam Adami Party (AAP) Anoop Nautiyal, who resigned from the party along with large number of his supporters, has announced formation of a new political forum, Hamara Uttarakhand jan Manch (HUM) on Thursday.

Addressing newsmen, Nautiyal said that central leadership of AAP disappointed the people of the State as it failed to react on any issue raised by the State’s workers. He said that the decision of the AAP not to contest assembly elections shocked the party workers who were enthused by the success of ‘Uttarakhand Bachao Yatra’. Nautiyal further said that the party in the state was ruined by 15 member Prabhari Mandal of AAP in which the leaders of Delhi held sway. He said that it appears that AAP is not interested to confront Congress party for now so it overlooked the misdeeds and corruption of ruling congress in Uttarakhand. The former state convener of AAP said that new forum ‘ HUM’ is launched to fight corruption in Uttarakhand. He said that there is no immediate plan to launch a political party but added that the forum could support some candidates in the ensuing assembly elections. Former State treasurer of AAP Ranvir Chaudhary said that the large number of AAP workers in different parts of state would join HUM in coming days. He claimed that a group of selfish leaders is calling shots in AAP and these leaders would eventually throw Arvind Kejriwal out of the party.

Nautiyal has been appointed as patron of HUM while Ranvir Choudhary would be its state convener. AAP leaders Kamal Devradi, Onkar Bhatia, Sameer Mundepi, Abdul Rehman, Bhaskar Chug, Ganesh Kala, Manoj Choudhary and large number of party workers also resigned from the party and joined the new forum.
