The district administration, Nainital, has stressed on the need for early settlement of forest land transfer related matters. According to the district administration, Nainital, there are many forest land transfer related cases which still remain pending delaying timely implementation of the developmental works in the district.
Therefore, it has asked the officials concerned of different departments to take up the forest land transfer related matters with the authorities concerned in coordination with the district forest department officials concerned.
It is to note that whereas the State Government has released the entire amount proposed under the district plan to all district administrations in a single installment for the first in the state this year with a view to carry out developmental works in a time bound manner, delay in clearance of the forest land transfer matters as usual has only come as a setback in ensuring timely completion of the development projects.
