'Forces ex-servicemen should get priority in Govt jobs'

Published on:

In a Press release issued by the Dehradun Ex-Services league, the officials highlighted that ex-servicemen from defence forces should be given priority while giving offering jobs to them in Government establishments.

At times these jobs are also offered to the dependents of the ex-servicemen and war widows, found fit, but are not supposed to be given to persons other than ex-servicemen.  DESl officials claimed that number of non-ex-servicemen have been provided such jobs by UPNl (Uttarakhand Purv Sainik Nigam limited). The office bearers also expressed concern over the issue that the state government has failed to find a suitable candidate to head UPNl independently and dual charge has been given, which is not allowing officials to do full justice to the organization. DESl also cleared that appointment of IAS cadre officer on the post of chief managing director of UPNl is against the spirit of limited and also demanded from the state government to appoint full time Brigadier as CMD. Brig Behl urged from the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Vijay Bahuguna, to look into the affairs personally and post some permanent person as per rules so that it may run properly and all complains filed by different people are settled amicably.
