Five tourists had to be rescued using a rope when the cable car they were in developed a technical snag in Nainital on Tuesday.
The manager of the cable car, Shivam Sharma informed that at about 4 PM, there was some technical snag related to electricity in the cable car. This resulted in the automatic brake of the cable car coming into operation. Due to this, the two cable cars stopped midway near each other. The cable car going uphill had five passengers who were stuck midway in the cable car. These five included two local residents and three tourists.
