FIR should be lodged if my son is found guilty: loP

The leader of Opposition in the Assembly and BJP senior leader Ajay Bhatt initially declined to comment over the issue. However, quizzed further, he said police should have lodged FIR against his son immediately after the incident had he been guilty in any way.

“Neither police nor my son is above the law. Those found flouting laws should be adequately punished. If investigation report goes against my son, police should lodge FIR against him.” He further said that one of the accused cops Vivek Rathi had expressed his apology over the incident, assuring that he would desist from repeating what he had done that day.

However, defending his son vis-à-vis the incident, the BJP leader said it has exposed how much vulnerable the common people are with the police going on the rampage on the pretext of enforcing laws. “This being a high-profile case was highlighted. But if such a thing happens to a common man can we expect police would be active to fix responsibility and bring the guilty to bookIJ” the BJP leader asked.
