Feeling awkward while facing camera: Rawat

Embattled Harish Rawat whom sting videos have stung  twice  since March-18-the day the political crisis struck the State-said on Monday that he is feeling awkward while facing the camera. “Things are so scary that even if one takes a selfie I freeze, thinking that he is making a    sting,” he said while interacting with media persons after the High Court had upheld the  Speaker’s action vis-a-vis the disqualified MlAs on Monday.

The battle-hardened Congress leader made it, however, clear  that he is a hard nut to crack despite  everything being unleashed on him to finish him off politically. He dared the Centre to subject    BJP national president Amit Shah, general secretary Kailash Vijay Vargiya and other senior saffron leaders to  Narco test. “If the Centre decides so I would be the   first person to go for Narco test,” he said. He further said that he has given some suggestions to BJP-led Union Government. “They should pledge that  they would not  promote corruption while in power. They  should order  probes into the properties  of all the CMs of Uttarakhand to make it clear as to who  has made how much. They should  constitute  judicial enquiry to probe into the graft charges that marred the Governments since the time the State was carved out  of  Uttar Pradesh,” Harish Rawat said.

Quizzed about the CBI summons regarding the first sting that had surfaced on March 27, a day before the Centre had promulgated President’s Rule on the State, Rawat said that he has asked the CBI to excuse him  till the floor test is held. “I would present myself before them of my own accord thereafter.
