Members of Ex-Servicemen Joint Movement Front Uttarakhand Sangram Rally demanded One rank, One pension (OROP) while staging a rally in Dehradun on Saturday. The meeting was attended by large number of ex-servicemen to support the Maha Sangram Rally and hunger strike being held at Jantar Mantar New Delhi on the same issue.
Various spokespersons vowed to continue fighting for OROP under one umbrella. A decision was taken by all shakha chiefs and president UESl to send one team every week in support of the rally and the hunger strike in Delhi. All shakha presidents will organise OROP rally and hunger strike at their locations to support the on-going rally in Delhi. The meeting was attended by Brig RS Rawat, lt Gen GS Negi, Brig RS Rawat, Brig KG Behl, Air Cmde A Kapoor, lt Col BM Thapa, lt Col US Thakur, Col PS Prashar, Col SC Tyagi, Brig BN Singh, Col MP Kala, Col HM Barthwal, Col BS Chettri, Col DK Pradhan, Capt NK Thapa and Capt KK limbu.
