Pradeep Singh Rawat, brother of Yudhveer Singh Rawat, has demanded the State Government to direct a high-level inquiry like a CBI probe into the murder of his brother, ex-PRO of Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat.

"I am not satisfied with recent arrest of two persons who are said to be responsible for killing my brother. I demand maximum punishment to be given to those who are responsible for murdering my brother. I demand justice from the state government in the case of my brother's murder," he added."

Pharmacist Rawat said, "My brother had never told me about giving Rs 14 lakh to Indira Nagar Colony resident Sudha Patwal for enrolling a student in MBBS degree course in Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences. Yudhveer used to discuss with me all the issues which he used to face in his day to day life".

According to him, he had last time talked about family related issue with Yudhveer at 11 am on August 8. "When I tried to contact Yudhveer by phone at 11 am on August 8 I found his mobile phone was switched off," he added.

He expressed displeasure over police claims that case of Yudhveer has been sorted out after arrest of two accused Sudha Patwal and Hariom Vashishth in the murder of his brother. He said Yudhveer was living in a joint family and he has two sons one is aged 12  while another is aged 10 years.
