Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, on the sidelines of the Vidhan Sabha session, told media persons that investigation into the alleged national highway scam in Udham Singh Nagar district should be conducted under serving judges of either the High Court of Supreme Court.
Hinting at the scope for the probe being influenced by the Central Government if the Central Bureau of Investigation alone is to conduct the investigation, Rawat opined that the alleged scam amounting to `240 crore should be probed into under sitting judges of the High Court or the Supreme Court to prevent any anomaly.
