The new solutions for wall cladding — Everest Fibre Cement Wood Planks and Everest Stone Cladding — were launched on Thursday during a Press conference in Dehradun. The products were launched as an eco-friendly replacement to natural wood and stone. They are certified by GRIHA and The Indian Green Building Council.

“Uttarakhand has some of the most beautiful houses with aesthetically stunning looks given by the use of wood and stone to the exteriors and the interiors. Everest fiber cement wood planks and Everest stone cladding would  not hopefully compromise with environment while delivering aesthetically stunning looks,” said Rakesh Verma, general manager-Boards and Panel Business, Everest Industries ltd. Apart from being cost effective, these products are highly durable as they are fire and moisture resistant, termite proof and weather resistant. These properties are ideal for a State like Uttarakhand, he added.

“These products have wood like appearance and strength of cement, available in different sizes and economic enough for the owners,” Verma said. They are pre-finished and easy to install with elegance to residential, commercial and hospitality projects, he added.

Speaking about the merits of the products, Subrata Dutta, vice- president, Everest Smart Steel Buildings said, “The products are light weight, highly durable, eco- friendly, ideal for seismic, hilly, and high wind areas.”  The projects can be completed at a three times faster rate using Everest Smart steel buildings than any other conventional methods, he added.

Dutta said these products have been already used in many projects in the state apart from other parts of the country. “Everest Smart Steel Buildings is now constructing seven government ITIs, two Engineering colleges and five polytechnic institutions in Uttarakhand apart from some private villas and resorts,” he added.
