To commemorate the 62 years of its establishment the Employee’s State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) celebrated an “ESIC Fortnight” from February 24 to March 10.
A special ceremony marked the culmination of the fortnight at regional office here on Monday. The Director of the corporation US Kabadwal was the chief guest in the programme. The corporation organised series of programs at different places of the state during the fortnight. The corporation organised health camps at Selaqui, Rishikesh and Kashipur in which 625 people were given free consultancy and medicines. To create awareness among the labourers for the various benefit schemes the corporation organised awareness camps at ITC Haridwar, Surya Tubes Kashipur and Nestle plant at Rudrapur. The ESIC also organised special assistance camps for its customers at the Kashipur and Haridwar offices during the fortnight. In these camps the customer grievances were addressed by the department officials. The department also conducted an interactive seminar in collaboration with Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) at Kashipur. The regional director of ESIC Arvind Kumar and chief health commissioner Dr NK Arora were also present during the function in Dehradun.
