Energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation ltd has been ranked as the top energy company in India, in the coveted Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings 2014 released on Tuesday. The ONGC has improved on its global ranking up by a notch to feature at 21st place among the global energy majors.
In Asia/Pacific (APAC) rim, where several major E&P companies have operations, ONGC is featured at the fifth position, up from seventh last year.
Platts, McGraw Hill Financial, mentions that Top 250 recognises outstanding financial performance for the previous year.
