During the Janta Darbar being organised under the direction of the District Magistrate S A Murugeshan, the locals from the villages located in Vikasnagar area complained that contrary to the claims  of the officials, no encroachment has been removed from the marked areas. Further complaining, they said that some people have occupied public roads and  are doing construction on them in violation of the laws while the administration is  looking the other way.  During the public congregation presided over by the DM, 54 complaints were received on various subjects. Most of the complaints pertained to encroachment of public as well as in private space against the laws.

locals from  Gajayavala, Naugaun, and places situated along  Haridwar Road also alleged that the public areas are being encroached  upon by some people, blocking the roads  used by the localities.

Another problem which came up to the fore was the drinking water scarcity plaguing several areas. locals from Moti Bazar complained  that the officials had not levelled  the road after the new water line was laid in the area.  A similar problem was raised by the people from Model Colony Araghar  as the people complained that not enough water is reaching the area due to the installation of the new drinking water supply line.

localities also highlighted the damage caused to the Gaura Valley Monthath motor road  under Chakrata Tehsil. They demanded   improvement of the motor  road and  building retaining wall by the electricity department in Kaulagarh Premnagar. After hearing out the people’s complaints, DM instructed the deputy district collector, and other officers concerned to remove encroachment  from the government lands and the village areas. He further asked MDDA and Municipal Corporation to take over the encroached lands. And also to maintain the proper arrangement of drinking water, DM ordered departments concerned to look into the matter and rebuild the security wall and to ensure drainage along with river drains.
