The Nainital district administration has demanded status report from the officials concerned on encroachment drive being launched in the lake city Nainital, asking them to maintain transparency while carrying out the drive.
Reviewing the progress of the drive on Tuesday, Dipak Rawat, District Magistrate, Nainital, asked the officials concerned to submit the reports regarding the steps taken to remove encroachment from the lake city to the district administration on time.
The encroachment drive is being launched in Nainital following the direction of the High Court of Uttarakhand. The status report on the steps taken to remove encroachment has to be submitted to the High Court of Uttarakhand by November 20.
Thus the officials should have submitted their reports by now, added Rawat.
