Even as the Nainital district administration, police and civic bodies continued hard their drive against the encroachment in different parts of the district, many vendors are still seen to be selling their products on the busy roads of the city. Meanwhile, the district administration Nainital has given ultimatum to the encroachers to remove the permanent structures erected illegally in busy market places till Monday.
Officials worried that despite being issued warnings and imposing fines, encroachments continued in market places in Haldwani and other busy areas across the district. So now these encroachers have been given time to remove encroachments from the public places till Monday, officials said.As a matter of fact that removing fruit and vegetable vendors who have set up permanent structures in Haldwani’s busy market places like Mangal Parao, Sindhi Chauraha along the Haldwani-Bareli Road has become a tedious task for the authorities who have been launching the anti-encroachment drive for many days.Though anti-encroachment drives are launched time to time by the enforcement agencies concerned, yet vendors after a certain period of time again start their business encroaching upon the public space.
