'Encourage children even if they don't perform well in exams'

Director Madhyamik Siksha Chandra Singh Gwal appealed the parents to encourage their children even if they don’t perform well in the board exams as per their expectations in order to keep mental pressure at a bay from children.

Issuing an advisory, Gwal said, “Don’t criticise your child, if he doesn’t get good marks in the board exams as per your expectation since it may lead to negative feeling in the child. Instead of criticising them, encourage them for doing well in future and inculcate positively in them.”

He further advised the parents not to leave their children alone if their result was not good. “Parents should try to create positive feelings among the children with positive approach so that they can perform well in the examinations. Parents should take efforts to keep their children tension free.”

He said that it has been often seen that in pressure some of the children take extreme step after not doing well in the examination. He said that undue pressure could be avoided only by promoting positive feelings. Therefore, family members should do it for sake of their children.
