The district administration would take strict action against those employees who are absconding from the training sessions for the ensuing Panchayat elections. The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Finance and Revenue / Officer in charge Pratap Shah said on Sunday that an FIR would be lodged against the absent employees if they fail to report in next 24 hours.

86 employees were found absent in the training session which was held for free and fair conduct of Panchayat elections at the ONGC hall here on Sunday. 1008 personnel including 40 zonal and sector magistrates were given poll training in two sessions.

Addressing the session Shah said that the officers should dispense with honesty and integrity whatever task is assigned to them. He said that the Panchayat elections are somewhat different from the Parliamentary elections as ballot papers instead of EVMs are used in them. Shah said that the polling parties for Chakrata block would depart from Asharam Vedic Inter College Vikasnagar, the parties for Kalsi block would depart from Block headquarter Kalsi, the parties for Sahaspur would go to poll duties from Guru Ram Rai Inter college Sahaspur while the poll parties for Raipur would depart from Maharana Pratap Sports College Raipur. Similarly the polling parties for Doiwala would depart from ITI Doiwala campus. The ADM asked the departmental heads to send updated lists of their personnel for the poll duties. The Chief Education Officer SP Khali asked the officials to understand the poll process properly. He said that the indelible ink mark which was applied during the lok Sabha elections would be still there on the finger of voters so the ink in the Panchayat polls would be put on the middle finger as per the guidelines of the election commission. The District Panchayat Raj Officer and master trainer Md Mustafa Khan gave detailed training to the personnel.
