To boost the electrification of every household campaign, ‘Saubhagya Raths’ were flagged off from different parts of the state on Tuesday. The secretary Power, Radhika Jha said that all the applicants have been provided with the power connections under Saubhagya Yojana by November 30.
She said that the scheme is in progress at present and those families which are left out should immediately make a call on toll free number 1912 of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited ( UPCL) for getting power connection.
On the orders of Jha, the Saubhagya Raths which would cover the remote areas of the state to provide information about the Saubhagya scheme were launched in all the districts on Tuesday.
The Raths were flagged off by public representatives, district magistrates and officials of power department. In Dehradun, Mussoorie MLA, Ganesh Joshi flagged off the rath while in Vikasnagar, MLA Munna Singh Chauhan was present during the flagging-off ceremony of Saubhagya Rath.
