A Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court here on Tuesday extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody of a Chhattisgarh Police officer and three others for another seven days in a money laundering case linked to the alleged illegal betting app called ‘Mahadev Online Book’.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ajay Singh Rajput sent Assistant Sub-Inspector Chandrabhushan Verma, hawala operator brothers Anil and Sunil Dammani and Satish Chandrakar to custodial remand of ED till September 5, ED lawyer Saurabh Pandey said.

They were produced in the court after expiry of their six day remand here.

They were nabbed on August 23 following the ED searches at multiple locations between August 21 and 23.

The money laundering case stems from multiple FIRs filed by the Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and some other police forces against the app that provides online platform for illegal betting in different live games.
