The State Election Commission has convened a meeting of all political parties in view of the forthcoming elections of municipal bodies in U’khand. This meeting would be held at office of State election commission Dehradun on January 5 and representatives of all political parties would participate in it.
The State Election commissioner, Subardhan said that discussion of outlay limit of the candidates for different positions of urban local bodies would be held in the meeting. Information about code of conduct for the elections and their strict adherence is also on the agenda of the meeting.
Subardhan told that the representative of political parties would be informed about the audit report and no pendency certificate from the income department including the process to submit them in the commission.
The commission would also request the political parties to submit the list containing names and addresses of their office bearers. Discussion on process of downloading of the electoral rolls from the official website of the commission would also be done during the meeting.
The State election commissioner expressed hoped that the meeting would be attended by representatives of the political parties attend the meeting so that fruitful discussions on all important matters can be done.
The poll for the urban local bodies is expected to be held in March.
