State Dairy Development Minister Harish Chandra Durgapal has urged the people, particularly the unemployed youth to join dairy production as a self-employment and make the most of the popular schemes launched by the Government in this sector.
One of the popular schemes is Ganga Gaay Mahila Yojana meant for the women. Under this scheme, an amount of `41,000 is granted to a woman for promotion of the dairy trade, said Durgapal while addressing members of the Dairy Producer Cooperative Federation at its convention in Rudrapur on Thursday.
Dairy production is an important sector to promote self-employment in the State. Maximum number of people should join this trade by way of self-employment, he further said.
The Government is committed to the welfare of the people associated with dairy sector in the State, he said. The fact of the matter is that the Government is going to pay online the dues of the people associated with the dairy production soon, added Durgapal.
