The residents of the city are still missing the nippy mornings and evenings, as the mercury is yet to have the fall required to make them feel the real advent of winter. The minimum temperature still hovering around 12 degree Celsius while the maximum is standing close to 28 degree Celsius, it seems the chilling winter the people are enamored of is not near yet.
“Perhaps, a spell of rains would trigger the winter we are waiting for. last year, it did not snow much in Musssoorie. We hope this time things would prove better. Winter, sans snow, is not good,” said a college student studying in the queen of hills.
The Meteorological Centre based in Dehradun has, however, not assured of likely rains for the coming few days. The weathermen said that dry weather would prevail across the State for a day or two or more. However, clouds might form towards the evening of Sunday. But whether they would bring rains that would make the mercury plummet sufficiently is uncertain. Things are yet to turn congenial for the rains or even drizzles that can prove harbinger of the real winter, said the weather officials.
