The much awaited change in weather was experienced in Dehradun and elsewhere across the State with drizzling and spells of light rain in the plains with light snowfall also reported from some higher mountainous region of the State on Sunday. As forecast by the Dehradun meteorological centre, the city saw generally cloudy sky with spells of sunshine during the daytime while during the evening, reports had been received about drizzling and spell light rain during the evening in different areas of Dehradun.
However, the change in weather may be short as the coming days of the week are forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with dry weather likely to prevail in Uttarakhand.
There was a marked drop in the level of mercury following the spell of light rain and snowfall though the skies had cleared in many of the mountainous regions which experienced a spell of light rain.
