Dr CMS Rawat, Head of Community Medicine Department, the Government Medical College, Haldwani, is the new chairman of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine UP and Uttarakhand Chapter-2013 (IAPSM).
He was appointed as the chairman of the IAPSM UP and Uttarakhand Chapter -2013 unanimously by the executive body at the 16th national conference of this association.
Announcing his appointment as the chairman, outgoing chairman Prof. B P Mathur, expressed hope that under the chairmanship of Dr Rawat, the association will attain new heights in the times to come. Under his leadership new developments will take place in the community medicine’s teaching, research and training areas , he added. Speaking on his appoint as chairman, Dr. Rawat, said that his top priority would to promote research activities in the community medicine.
