The National Highway number 87 is proposed to be widened by the Natinal Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with the people to be affected by the project also having been listed.
However, residents of some shacks and homes at Pantnagar Nagla bypass had not been named in the said list, causing them much anxiety.
These people communicated their issue to the Congress state spokesman Sanjiv Kumar Singh expecting some help from the politician. On Monday, Singh met the NHAI project director Ajay Vishnoi and submitted a memorandum to him requesting that the shack dwellers and residents of homes left out of the list of the road widening project be added to the list. According to sources, the NHAI project director is reported to have taken up the issue proactively and stated that the issue will be considered sympathetically while also assuring that the projected affected persons left out of the list will also be added to it in the near future.
