The Vice Chancellor of the Doon University, V K Jain inaugurated a census workstation at the university campus on Thursday.
Set up under the aegis of Registrar general and commissioner census New Delhi, the work station would provide help to the scholars. It will help the researchers to have access to the micro data without revealing the identity of the individual concerned. The workstation has a data server, terminus and software for data analysis. Speaking on the occasion VC Jain said that the workstation would be of a great help for students engaged in research work. The assistant director, directorate of Census Shailendra Singh Negi gave a detailed account of the workstation.
