Dehradun police have arrested three persons, allegedly involved in illegal mining activities on Saturday. Continuing with its drive against illegal mining activities, Sahaspur police has conducted vehicle checking drives and seized four tractors loaded with illegal mining materials at Selaqui. One of the tractor drivers escaped while three were arrested by the police. The accused have been identified as Irshad, resident of Sahaspur, Vijay, resident of Selaqui and Praveen, resident of Sahaspur. A case under sections 379/411 of IPC and 4/21 mining Act has been registered against the accused. The accused were sent to jail after being produced in the court, said Dehradun SSP Nivedita Kukreti.
