Education World in association with C-fore, Delhi conducts its annual survey in 21 cities and education hubs across India to rate 725 schools. The country’s top Day, Boarding and International schools will be felicitated in New Delhi on September 14. A total of 5,779 fees-paying parents, teachers, principals and educationists across the country were interviewed by field researchers of the well-reputed market research and opinion polls company Centre for Forecasting Pvt. ltd (C fore), Delhi to rate and rank 593 of the country’s most well-known day, 75 boarding and 57 international primary-secondary schools.
“Respondents were asked to rate schools of which they were aware on a ten-point scale — except for the vital parameter of ‘competence of faculty’ which is given double weightage — against 14 parameters of education excellence. The scores awarded by respondents to schools under each parameter were multiplied by ten, rounded off and totalled for ranking schools in each sub-category,” says Premchand Palety, chief executive of C fore, explaining the rating and ranking methodology of the Education world India School Rankings 2013.
