Many employees of the Health directorate volunteered to donate blood at a Blood Donation camp organised at the office of Director General Health services here on Thursday. The camp was jointly organised by Dehradun Chapter of Indian Red Cross Society and State Blood Transfusion Council. A team of doctors from Doon hospital rendered their services at the blood donation camp.
The Coordinator of State AIIDS Society, Parvati Pandey said that camp evoked a very good response among the employees of the directorate. She said that 45 units of blood were collected at the donation camp. Varun Sahi, Manager quality control at the Health Directorate said that he is regular blood donor and he feels inner satisfaction by donating blood.
The General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Dr IR Pal was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was presided over by Chairman Red Cross Society of Uttarakhand RS Verma. The donors were provided certificate of appreciation and memento on the occasion.
