Chairing a review meeting on the progress of work in the construction of planned flyover in the State capital, Dehradun District Magistrate BVRC Purushottam instructed the General Manager of the Engineering Projects India limited (EPIl) to expedite the construction work.
In the meeting he also instructed that the 205 trees located at the Ballupur Chowk would not be cut down together for the construction of flyover. The trees should be cut in a phased manner. He also instructed the land acquisition officer to resolve all the land related issues by conducting a meeting with the land owners whose lands are located in the area to be affected by the construction.
The DM also issued instructions regarding the shifting of the electric poles coming in the way of the construction. Chairing another meeting with the Chief Medical Officer Dr Gurpal Singh, the DM instructed the officials concerned to make all the prior preparations for the pulse polio drive to be held on January 19.
