Dehradun DM Ravinath Raman held a meeting with the district officers at his camp office on Friday and discussed issues related to setting of District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) at Gandhi Centenary Eye Hospital (GCEH) in Dehradun. Discussion was held over selection of rooms at GCEH for DDRC. It was also decided at the meeting that DDRC would also be operating from lehman Hospital at Herbertpur. The district officers of education, health, social welfare, panchayat raj and some others were directed to identify disabled persons through awareness campaign to be conducted in their jurisdictional limits. Those to be identified would be enrolled at DDRC for their welfare, DM said, adding that he would review the progress over the same with the district officers on December 12.
